I think that the struggle that a lot of people have is fear. Do they really have total faith in God? That's a tough one. Many say they do , but doubt and disbelief has a tendency to creep in. And what is it that God wants for a person's life? I think that many people have thought they knew, only to find out that they really didn't. The one thing I know for sure is that the enemy is at work. but the good news is the Good News. And God is at work as well. Just as we pray and sometimes don't know what to say, the Holy Spirit is intervening and knows what we need. I say this, even if you're not sure, but you believe the Lord is in control, step out of the boat. He is either in control or he isn't. Do what you feel you are called to do. If it is the will of the Lord, he may bless your efforts. If not, I believe he will let you know. Each of us only go around but one time and this isn't a dress rehearsal! Better to have tried and failed than to not have done anything at all. And maybe in discovering what the Lord wants for your life or how He wants you to serve Him, He will bless your efforts. We can only hope. I remember that a preacher once told me that recruits for an Army is one thing. But soldiers are something totally different. We need to ask ourselves as Christians are we recruits who are just happy to say that we are part of the Army? Or are we soldiers ready to engage the enemy. Do we run from the battle or run towards it? 300 Spartans took part in an epic battle that cost them their lives. Their battle cry was to take everything from the enemy and give them nothing. They were pagans. They believed in dead idols! Their story has been remembered for thousands of years. We believe in a living God. How much greater our victory will be!! The words,"Well done faithful servant", will be better than any medal that could be received. You can believe that!!!
